Today’s the first day
of clases for me! We get up, leave Thach Tao and Phuc at school, have breakfast
in a place near home (basically, 2 low tables outside a lady’s house who cooks
food) and head to classes.
This is a only
females professional school and you can learn everything you can thin about:
cooking, nail painting, massage, haircombing, haircutting, yoga, cake decoration,
food carving… you name it and they teach it!
As we arrive to the
classroom, everyone looked at me and giggled. Of course, long nose in a
Vietnamese class could only be for a big laugh!
Even if I spent most
of the time trying to recognize some words, today’s first lesson was about what
we need to start as professional masseusse and only next lesson will be a hands
on one. Of course, Xuan translated some parts of the class but fortunately the
next ones will be already more practical and less theorical. I’m really excited!
When finished, we go
home and we have lunch. Steamed rice, beef with green beans and ribs cooked in
a way that’s to cry for more, finally a veggie soup and for desert I tried for
the first time a different kind of banana and the conclusion is the same as
before: I really don’t like it!
I go for a quick rest
and at 2 pm I’m ready for my next lesson: the art of nail panting! This is
something very famous here and in China and I’m going to learn how to do it and
for free. I hope that when I’m back in Lisbon I’m able to do a couple of nice drawings because it's really like painting requiring lots of precision as a nail is small and a painting is much bigger…
Xuan and Phuck pick
me up and we stop at the dragon’s store. They’re beautiful and I’m sure Thach
Tao is going to be madly in love with them.
At home, we have
dinner and I feel like I need holidays. I have a surprise as my dad connects to
skype very early and I can show him what I did this afternoon.
My bed is calling,
night night peeps!
