Day 23

Today we get up early as Xuan and me have classes. After Carlos and Xuan left the kids at school, the three of us have an American Vietnamese breakfast and then, Xuan and I head to school. Today we learn how to massage the arms and hands.

After classes, we go in search of a plane and a yo-yo for Phuc and Thach Tao and also a new head mask for me as my tiger one mysterious disappeared. Till said it and well: my head mask Thach Taoed, which means probably miss Thach Tao hid it. =) My new ones are a Zebra and a Dalmatian but you know what, if I find other that I like I’ll buy them and I’ll have a collection of head masks.

When we arrive home, I go for a little walk by myself and I end up first in the market and after in the tourist street section where I amuse myself by taking pictures of tourists.

Arriving home it's time to lunch and today’s lunch is Vietnamese hotpot: Prawns, veggies, beef and noodles. It’s very good and of course I repeat it twice. Now it’s time for a little rest and while, Xuan, Carlos and me go for the siesta time, Till and Maxi go visit the war museum.

In the middle of the afternoon, Xuan comes to my room and asks me if I wanna do a Flan pudding with her but like the Vietnamese way. Let’s do it!
6 bowels of sweetened milk, 1 and a half of condensed milk, 8 to 9 eggs and let’s mix everything. When mixed let’s put sugar and water boiling so we can do the caramel and it’s hot, really hot! Our caramel gets a nice colour and we divided by two bowls, when cold we put our milk and eggs mixture and close it with cling film. Put the bowels inside pans and lets cook it. After 20/30 minutes it’s done so let’s put it in the fridge and eat it later.

While waiting for Chi Mi to arrive home, I go and watch the Grammys in my mac and as soon as she arrives, the 3 of us go for barbeque and it’s always too good and I always want more and more! In the end, Carlos heads home and Xuan and me go to the bookshop to buy school stuff. This bookstore is too funny! In the ground floor they sell books for school, university and entertainment but then you go to the first floor and you have it all: pens, pencils, rubbers, scissors, dvds, cds, food, clocks, frames, socks, head masks, beauty products and even a restaurant and lots of gaming machines for kids and grown-ups.

When our shopping is finished, we head back home and I continue to watch the Grammy awards before I fall asleep…

Night night everyone, don’t let the bedbugs bite!
