It’s 6.30 am and my alarm clock rings. I slept very well tonight so
it’s really easy to get up and go for my shower. Yesterday, we’ve decided to go
for breakfast around 7.30 am so when I’m ready I go upstairs for breakfast. I
order orange juice and yellow noodles with beef. When what I ordered comes my
soup has lots of boiled carrots, cabbage and onions, beef and few yellow
noodles and the orange juice is, in fact, from the bottle instead of the
oranges. When I’m finishing eating the electricity goes down and right away I
get a phone call from Xuan saying that she and Carlos were in the elevator when
the electricity went down. I find someone, call Xuan again and she explains
what’s happening and I go back to finish breakfast. Xuan calls me again saying
to grab my stuff and meet them downstairs as they’re going for breakfast
outside.
At the door’s hotel is the taxi we rented for the all day, we get in
and before breakfast we go to the supermarket to buy batteries for Xuan’s
viet-eng translator. Then we head to this fancy place called Ancient Place and
the place is really beautiful as my pics can prove.
When we finish breakfast we have to go to visit the guy to whom Carlos
is going to buy the cinnamon trees to take to the farm. We take around 2 hours
to arrive to the guy’s house and when we finally find it, we seat, drink green
tea and Carlos puts all the questions he needs about the cinnamon tree. After a
while is time for lunch so we invite the cinnamon trees guy for lunch and he
takes us to a weird place where the food is average. The only funny thing there
is that when we arrive, I took my jacket and as soon as a young guy saw my
tattoo the pissing contest started. In fact, after a couple of minutes he takes
his jacket too and he shows his tattoos to everyone who wants to see.
I start
laughing without saying a word and continue doing what I was doing which was
taking pics of the people surrounding me… in the end he can have more tattoos
than me but I win by having them more beautiful and because I really don’t
care. I have tattoos, it’s who I am and I don’t even notice them anymore…
After lunch we go back to the cinnamon trees guy’s house and Carlos
finishes his talk about the trees. It’s already around 3 pm when we leave his
place and we have to fly to arrive in time to the statue guy in order to see
if, in the end, the statues are ok now. Driving in this country is the craziest
thing I’ve seen…
but what I’ve loved the most in this trip was the Bòs, they’re
amazing and I tried to take as many photos as I could while inside a car in
movement… =)
When we arrive to the statue guy, the world ends and, in reality, I
don’t want to talk about this anymore. Just need to say that we left very late
from there, we went directly to the restaurant, the same of yesterday’s night
(today the food wasn’t as good… it’s a pity) and then we head to the airport.
For the first time after 54 days I’m able to connect to facebook! It’s
good to be able to see what’s happening and don’t need my father to tell me, I
can know in first hand with no intermediaries… =) I also check the following
site:
In the last days I lost a friend, not to cancer but I lost him anyway…
I really hope one day, human beings will be able to find the cure for cancer,
AIDS, meningitis and so many other diseases that we still don’t have the cure.
It’s time for boarding and there we go on the plane… the view from up
here is very pretty and my photos can’t show enough how nice it is.
The flight
is quick and I’m not even able to finish to watch one TV show. We land, get a
taxi and head home.
It’s already late, around 11.30 pm and my body and mind feel like
jelly… I don’t even have strengths for a shower so I head directly to bed and that’s
all folks!
Night night peeps!
P.S. – today, as cover, I choose a music that makes me remember summer
don’t know why…
