Day 67

Sunday… and I get up at 7 am… go for the shower, get dressed and then go with Xuan to get breakfast for the kids and me. We go to Phò Lé by moto and comeback. The Phò Bó from his place is really good and I’m always waiting to eat their noodles, in fact, if you come to Vietnam one day you cannot miss it, the noodles with the orange juice… too good for our sake!

After breakfast Xuan tells me she’d like to go buy the tickets to go see the water puppets theater so we put our helmets on and when the kids see we’re leaving they also grab their shoes to come with us. When we arrive there, unfortunately, it’s not possible to buy the tickets, as this week there will be no show; they’re having a recycling event with many activities for the kids. We walk around a little bit and then go watch a magic performance which for me is very funny… they all have almost the same tricks and there are colored birds and rabbits every where and the clothes… hehehe too funny!

When the show finishes, Xuan goes to get the motorbike while we wait in the shadows. We head home and the kids have lunch, when they finish is our turn an today we’re six women at the table: Xuan’s mother, Xuan, Miss Thoa, Chi Mi, Chi Lam and me. After eating the kids need their sleep so I prepare the living room for them, close the curtains, turn the TV on and tell them they have to lay down and start thinking on sleeping.

It’s time to rest and while everyone goes to sleep I start trying to edit a couple of videos but they’re too heavy and the computer gains life of his own and doesn’t let me do anything I want, it just thinks and thinks and thinks… so I give up, watch a TV show and rest my eyelids for a hour and a half.

When my eyelids are rested, I grab my nail painting stuff and start doing a couple of things but I guess my inspiration is not in the right place and I only do sh*t… fortunately, while I try the hours pass by and it’s already dinner time; we’re going out all the family together!

We jump on the taxi and go to this place where you order and have to prepare your own food. Basically we go for Vietnamese spring roles but we prepare it. They’re good but not my favorite thing in the whole world, of course, give me barbeque or Phò Bó and I’m a happy girl. Some Xuan’s friends meet us there and we all have dinner together, they also have kids so it’s a big party for Thach Thao and Phuc. =)

tallest building in HCMC by night
After dinner we go to the new Vincom Center and I have to tell you… F A N C Y! Only expensive stores like Versace, Hugo Boss, Ralph Lauren and so on. While we’re waiting for Xuan’s friends outside I record a little bit of what’s happening in the streets only to be interrupted by this cute guy…

and because I’m too slow with my brain when I think to give him my number, Xuan’s friend already arrived and I need to go and, with my luck and because I’m in HCMC, I’ll never see him again…

Well, if you know this guy or recognize him can he call me maybe… =)

I just hope that in the end he gives his phone number to me
rather to other guy... =)

Anyway, we go inside and meet Xuan’s friends. They left their kids at the kids place and so we also leave Thach Thao and Phuc there to play while we go for window-shopping. There are a couple of nice things but is just a mall like any other mall so around 9 pm we head home as tomorrow the kids have school and my father's parents are at our house and I’d like to talk with them for a little bit.

At home I go for a quick shower while waiting my grandparents to be ready and then it’s time. =) I don’t seem them for two months and I put a smile on their faces when I show up on Skype. We talk for a little bit, I tell them how much fun I’m having and that I ate mouse a month ago and all the other stuff I’ve been doing. They need to go home so we say our goodbyes and while they go home I go to bed.

I watch a TV show and then my parents call me again through Skype, it’s good to speak with them without anybody else around but I’m feeling too tired and my mouth is always opening… they tell me to go to sleep and I tell them I love them very much =)

Night night peeps!
