It’s 7 am and I don’t want to get up but I have to. I take my shower,
get dressed and ready and go for a blog update when Xuan calls me telling we’re
going for breakfast. We go to the lady next to the house and for the first time
Xuan tells me the lady isn’t nice and that she has a ugly face, in fact she
looks like a bulldog, no offense to any dog…
After breakfast, Xuan has to go to the bookstore so I grab all my
stuff and go with her but before I prepare everything for the kids to able to
watch Walt Disney’s Robin Hood, one of my favorite movies of my childhood.
At the bookstore, we buy everything we need and then she leaves me at
the nail salon. As soon as I arrive there’s already ladies doing the manicure
so I start preparing my stuff to practice. When it’s time to see how to put the
acrylic nails I stop everything and go for the “knowledge drinking”. The girls
want me to go to a party today with them but I have a busy evening and I agree
with them that when I finish everything I have to do, I’ll call them to know
where they are. In the meantime I’m able to nail my practice and the teacher
doesn’t lose his head over me.
Around 12.30 pm I have a surprise, Xuan and the kids show up to pick
me up and she tells me that without her saying anything when the kids saw her
putting the helmet, they went to grab their shoes and helmets and said they
were going with her; when she asked where, they answered they were going to
pick me… no comments! These two are too cute for their sake! =)
The lunch is at the table when we arrive, we eat and when we finish, I
go prepare everything needed to take to the fabric shopping today at the
market. I print everything that is needed and when Xuan is ready we hop on the
motorbike and go to An Dông market. We spend the all afternoon there and just
bought half of what we need… our heads are almost exploding when the market is
closing so we grab our stuff and head back home.
It’s around 6pm when we arrive and there’s no kids or Chi Mi or Chi
Lam at home so we go for dinner at the barbeque while they don’t arrive. Once
more, the chicken cutlets, the rice and the barbeque sauce are divine…
When we arrive home again we hear Thach Thao and Phuc’s voices and I
know they’re arriving from their funny afternoon. It’s time for their dinner so
while they eat, Xuan and me do our inventory of what we bought and what we
still need to buy…
The kids finish and it’s time for their shower and it’s time for me to
jump in my bed… I connect Skype and I’m able to speak with my parents and
grandparents. My grandma starts remembering stories of when I was young and we
laugh together and relieve those moments in a nice way… tomorrow is my 30th
birthday and it’s going to be the longest ever: it will start at 00.00 am in
Vietnam and will finish at 11.59 pm in Portugal – almost 2 days of b-day
celebrations! Ehehehe
Looking for fabrics left me really tired so I just go for the shower
and then turn off the lights…
Night night everyone, don’t let the bedbugs bite!
P.S. – my heart beats and so does Jonathan Gonzalez when covering
“heartbeats”...
