Today the entire house wakes up around 7/7.30 am. I take my shower and
get dressed thinking I’ll be going to the nail salon but Xuan comes to my door
and tells me to get the bikini as we’re going to the swimming pool. Today I
don’t feel in the mood to do anything outside my comfort box but I get my
swimming suit and change to more comfy clothes. Downstairs the breakfast is
ready: bread on the table and the fried eggs already on the plates. We eat, the
kids are excited and Chi Lam and Chi Mi are running around getting everything
ready so we don’t miss anything while in the swimming pool. I even get a cà phê
sữa đá to go! We jump in the car and there we go, Thach Thao seats in my
lap and Phuc in Grandma’s lap, Chi Lam and Chi Mi in the back… it’s always an
adventure every time we enter the car, fortunately this adventure had no
surprises!
We go on our way through the freeway until we arrive to Suoi Tiene
theme park on the side of the freeway. The entrance has two big dragons and in
front of it there’s a big frog with a coin in his mouth plus 2 big elephant
teeth. It’s like go big or go home! Xuan gets tickets and we head inside and my
mouth just drops open…
Everything is big in here, in this big area with big sculpture and
funny stuff for the kids to do.
While we’re walking there’s a show happening
and lots of people are watching it. Basically is the story of the king who
wants to marry his daughter and the kings from Water, Fire, Earth and Wind come
to fight for her. In this show there’s lots of loud music, fighting and colorful
clothes.
After a while we get bored of being there and we take the kids to the
swimming pool, I realize that once more you have to pay to enter so I say to
Xuan I don’t want to go and she only buys tickets for the kids, Chi Lam, Chi Mi
and Grandmamma. Carlos, Xuan and me go for a walk around the park until it’s
time for lunch. We stop at the temple inside the theme park and I feel very
peaceful.
The temple is really beautiful with the ceilings painted and so many
Buddhas. I feel so peaceful that I almost fall asleep in a bench inside the
temple.
We continue our walk and it’s amazing the lack of restaurants and
places to eat. We end up at this place where they only have chicken curry and
bad rice and in the end we almost don’t eat a thing. This theme park is like
the city of Verona in Italy, everything you wanna do or see you have to pay, in
fact there are some hammocks hanging from trees so you can rest but guess what,
you also have to pay. It’s crazy!
Anyway… we head back near to the swimming
pool and seat at a table under some green trees. I do a couple of pics and
start reading my book while Carlos and Xuan are talking. After a little bit Chi
Mi calls Xuan telling her the kids are ready to go back home so we meet at the
swimming pool door and then head to the car.
Did you know Thach Thao is really a big girl? Yes, she is! She’s such
a big girl that she uses the seat belt while in the car so she can seat alone
and not need to seat on anyone’s lap. =)
When we arrive home, the kids go to sleep, Carlos goes speak with
Philip and I speak with my parents through Skype. In the meantime, Xuan is meeting
with someone because of the things to go to Portugal. When Carlos and Xuan are
ready we go for a massage and today my lucky number 27 and me didn’t bond very
well. My head was very busy, thinking about lots of stupid stuff and I couldn’t
relax as much as I should have. The massage finishes and it’s time for the
steam bath and then I walk home feeling light, without all the toxins my body
had got in the past days.
At home, I prepare my stuff for some nail painting practice but don’t
have the chance to start, as it’s already dinnertime. Then I get my chance and
beside repeating a couple of designs I also do some new ones like a beach with
palm trees, good for the summer season ahead.
With all of this nail art painting practice it’s already time to sleep
so I put everything in its right place, go for my shower and bed with me!
Night night peeps!
