It’s Friday, Carlos arrives later today and the kids are too electric
with it! I did what I always do, my shower, get dressed and get ready to leave
Thach Thao and Phuc at school. We’re all hurrying up so they don’t arrive late
to school and when we arrive there the gates are closed… oh! First we thought
they had closed the gates earlier and then a guy told us that it’s holiday and
there’s no school today. Hehehehe let’s go back home and give breakfast to the
kids while Xuan and me go to Lady Bulldog.
After breakfast we grab our stuff at home and head to Rita coffee
shop, as Xuan has to meet the dragon guy. I’ve been in this coffee shop twice
and it’s a very nice place with lots of trees even if it’s next to one very
busy street. Xuan orders for her and me cà phê sữa đá and cà phê đá for the dragon
guy, they chitchat a little bit while I entertain myself doing photos of the
place and the customers.
At 10.30 am we leave the coffee shop and Xuan takes me to the salon
telling me she’ll pick me up around 1 pm so we’ll lunch at home and then we’ll
go to An Dong market before picking up Carlos. Today I learn a new flower and,
as I’m starting to assimilate, the first times I try to do a new design I’m
really bad at it… fortunately along the way and with practice I start to be
better. It’s time for lunch and Xuan honks so I put everything in its right
place and hop on the motorbike.
We have codfish’s face for lunch with boiled potatoes and one of my
favorite soups. As I’m not very fond of boiled codfish and codfish’s face, I
eat just a little bit and then I attack the soup. We finish with a sweet mango.
It’s time to rest for a bit and Xuan goes to rest with the kids ‘cause they’re
too excited to go pick their dad later and don’t want to sleep.
I like to go to An Dong Market and so I prepare my stuff and start
watching a TV show when Xuan tells me it’s time to go. Mask ready, sunglasses
ready, helmet ready, shoes ready and motorbike ready, here we go! =) At An Dong
market we go directly to the fabrics’ stalls where Xuan buys a couple of
fabrics to do some skirts and home clothes. Then we take a look at the shoes’
stalls as I want to buy a pair of flip flop wedges and a gift for Chi Lam.
Finally and when the market is almost closing we go to the chopsticks girl in
the superior floor of the market and besides the chopsticks I also buy some
souvenirs for a couple of friends.
The market closes and we head home to pick up Thach Thao and Phuc and
then go to the airport to pick up Carlos. Today the trip is so quick that we
arrive there very early and because the kids are hungry we go to this place to
eat inside the airport. Xuan orders 2 eggs and rice for them and a cà phê sữa đá for me;
their adrenaline is over the top and it’s really difficult to make them eat
without trouble. As if this was not enough, when they start running around we
have to tell them 5 times where they can run and where they can’t and in last
instance, they got grounded for 5 minutes because they don’t do what Xuan says.
Then Carlos arrives and it’s time to say our hellos. We go to the
arrivals’ door and the kids run for dad and it’s very nice to witness as they
were missing Carlos very much. =)
We head back home, Carlos, Xuan and me have dinner and once more I start
to feel so tired that I head to my room and tonight there’s not even time for a
shower, it’s right to bed!
Night night everyone, don’t let the bedbugs bite!
