Day 57

It’s 7 am and since Carlos is here I’ve been a little bit lazy. He goes with Xuan take the kids to school so I don’t need to be ready earlier and today is no exception. When they’re back Xuan tells me they can’t have breakfast with me ‘cause they need to go and see the cement Buddhas urgently. Chi Mi goes to get my breakfast and take it at home with a cà phê sữa đá.

It’s time to walk to the nail salon, something that it starts to be usual and always funny. It’s very hot but walking around and see the people on their motorbikes or walking, minding their business is very nice ‘cause you never see the same person again. Everyday is a day full of new people to see.

At the salon I start practicing the acrylic nails and fortunately today I’m better than yesterday and I’m not making my teacher loose is mind with me. I spend the all morning and afternoon practicing but around 4 pm my head starts aching and I feel pain in my eyes so I decide to walk home as I prefer to go home and if I’m better I’ll practice the nail painting at home.

When I arrive home, Xuan and Carlos are not there and Chi Mi tells me it’s her who is going to pick up Thach Thao and Phuc today so I head to my room and go to close my eyes and the lights until the kids arrive. Then it’s time for a little bit of nail art even if my head still aches. When Xuan and Carlos arrive, Xuan tells me tomorrow I’ll go to the massage to see if I get better and that I need to rest. It’s time for dinner and the 3 of us head to the kitchen and feast ourselves with rice soup and flan pudding.

I feel so tired that when we finish I go upstairs, take a shower and fall in my bed…
