6.30 am and the alarm clock is ringing, fortunately I was able to
change the music I wanna wake up to and now I’m happier waking up to the sound
of this…
I stop the alarm, I get up, go for the shower and today I wanna be
ready before the kids come down as I need to do some ponytails and fish tails
on my hair so I don’t look like Frankenstein’s bride. =) When the kids come
down I’m ready so Xuan and me take them to the school and they even take a gift
for their class: An “Alvin and the Chipmunks”’ DVD!
For breakfast I try the noodles from the girl in front of our house
while Xuan and her mother eat rice soup with tofu, as today they’re not allowed
to eat meat. When we finish Xuan takes me to the salon where I start practicing
my acrylic nail skills until a girl shows up and I stop to go see the master.
When he finishes I head back to my practicing and it seems I’m getting the hang
of it! It’s already lunchtime when Xuan shows up with my food, made by Chi Lam
exclusively for me… guess people at the salon don’t have afraid to talk to me
anymore which is really good as at lunch we can have simple but nice
conversations.
At 3.30pm Xuan calls me ‘cause I need to walk home as she’s still
tangled with her ID and we need to pick up the kids at 4 pm and she can’t take
me. I say bye bye to everyone at the salon and start walking. At the door’s
home I rang the bell and rang the bell and rang the bell for at least 5 minutes
until I decide to scream for Chi Mi and Chi Lam ad that’s when they come open
the door. Yesterday night they had turn the bell off so no drunk would ring it
in the middle of the night as it happen already.
Xuan arrives home right on time and we go pick up the kids. At home
they prepare themselves to go with Chi Lam and Chi Mi to the park and Xuan and
me go prepare all the other fabrics and designs we need to go to another tailor
in district 7. There we go once more full of bags and no hands for anything
else… =)
In the way to the tailor we meet Xuan’s accountant, as it’s her who
knows the tailor. When we arrive to the place we start taking our stuff out and
I can tell you that, without entering in details, we spend there 3 hours and a
couple of minutes. I was feeling so tired and overwhelmed by the quantity of
things they had to do that I arrive to a point and laid down right there on the
floor.
When we finish we go eat dinner to a sea food place and, of course, as
soon as I enter all the waiters and waitresses start whispering between them
and pointing at me. We seat and Xuan orders the food: seashells in a white
sauce (that instead of sucking them out I do like a normal Portuguese, ask for
a toothpick and bring it out), grilled prawns and squid and finally seafood
soup.
The food is not great and the waiters are far to be nice but I’m so tired
that I can’t think about it at all… let’s leave it that way… when we finish we
go to Xuan’s accountant house to get some papers and then head home.
Both of us are dying to go to bed so we do the drive home as quick as
we can and when we arrive, Xuan goes for water and I go for 2 cookies and
bedroom. I almost go crawling to the shower where I wash my hair and do a
little head massage to myself and if when I finished I thought I had strength to
still watch a TV show, I was wrong… I fall asleep without noticing.
Night night peeps!
P.S. – I already have a “Vietnamese by the eyes of a Portuguese” and a
“more than words” section, can you guess which section it will be next by this
photo? =)
