Saturday morning and even if there’s no kids to leave at school, my
internal clock wakes me up at 6 am. It’ the first day Carlos is here so, as
usual, when we’re all ready we go for phó bò at Phó Lè. I walk until there and
make a movie of my walk so I can show to my friends and family later… when we
finish breakfast Carlos and Xuan give me a ride until the crossroad and then I
walk to Rita coffee shop while they go get Thach Thao and Phuc at home.
At the coffee shop we order cà phê sữa đá and the kids play around
unfortunately this coffee shop is not a place for kids as has too many stairs
and many waiters and waitresses so, after finishing our drinks, I walk home and
Carlos and Xuan take Thach Thao and Phuc to the park.
When I arrive home I finish to watch Zero Dark Thirty and watch a
couple of TV shows while waiting for our late lunch. We have lunch around 2 pm
and after that I get my stuff and head to the Theatre to try to buy the tickets
for the show. Xuan has gone to the hairdresser to wash her hair and Carlos is
doing his nails so I ask Xuan to explain the motorbike taxi driver where I
wanna go and he takes me there.
Guess I haven’t been very lucky ‘cause when I arrive to the ticket
counter, I’m informed that I can only buy the ticket for the show next week. I
don’t let my mood go down and walk ‘till Highlands coffee shop where I order
another cà phê sữa đá and open my computer with the will to work on my blog (something
I haven’t done for the past days) and check facebook. Coincidence or not, I
give new life to an old friendship and after many tries to speak on Skype, I
decide to pay my bill and head back home where internet is good even if I can’t
be on Skype.
At home, we talk for hour and a half and I laugh my ass out the all
time. It’s good to hear me laughing with pleasure and it’s even better to
rekindle friendships! =)
Chi Lam and Xuan’s mother went to Mr. Lam’s house as tomorrow is a big
day for the older daughter of Mr. Lam, Chi Mi is sick so I help Xuan with
dinner while Carlos is cutting is hair. When Carlos arrive we have dinner and
because the kids don’t stop playing around poor sick Chi Mi, I grab them, take
them to my room and put them watching Dumbo and silence reigned…
After a while, Carlos comes to get Thach Thao and Phuc to go to bed
and so I can go for my shower and do what I like the most: TV show time. I
start watching The Fall with Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan until my parents
call me on Skype as today’s my aunt’s birthday and they want me to be connected
when they give the b-day gift.
When they start lunch we finish our talk and I head back to my TV
show, at least, until is time to sing happy birthday and we connect again on
Skype. Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear
auntie, Happy Birthday to you!
I go back again to my TV show but I realize that even if the beginning
of the show was promising, it starts to be boring very quickly so I just do
fast forward and when it finishes I just turn everything off and go to sleep…
Night night peeps!
