Day 95

It’s 3.30 am and my mind doesn’t want to rest so I can only wait… I guess it’s around 4 am when I fall asleep only to waking up at 7 am… I feel tired, of course but in the end life’s short and I can always sleep tonight. I get up, take my shower and get ready for another unexpected day… while I’m surfing the net Xuan shows up to my room and we go for breakfast. The kids are already awake but they’re playing in their room.

Xuan and me go to Lady Bulldog to eat our usual beef noodles and when we’re back home she tells me we’re going for a walk at the center of District 1. Thach Thao and Phuc had come downstairs and when they hear we’re going out they say they wanna come to, so they get dressed and the 4 of us jump to the motorbike.

To get a little bit of fresh air and to be in a place where the kids can run if they want we go to the park near the cathedral.

I’m able to enter the cathedral and make a couple of photos but the religious service was taking place, the cathedral was packed and I didn’t feel I should be there taking photos.

At the park, I stay with Thach Thao and Phuc while Xuan goes to buy cà phê sữa đá for both of us. When she’s back we sat near the trees until we hear people singing and playing music so we go seat next to them.

The vibe is very nice so we stay there for a while. When it’s time for the kids go back home, we get up, jump on the motorbike and leave them at home while both of us head to another Parkson Centre to find a birthday gift for Xuan’s sister-in-law.

At this Parkson Centre we can’t find anything for Miss Hoa so Xuan decides to head to An Dong Plaza. At An Dong Plaza we walk around and Xuan sees a nice bag but it’s too expensive, guess it’s time to think clearly and go buy something beautiful, that Miss Hoa likes and not very expensive. We leave An Dong Plaza and head to An Dong market. First we go for lunch and I’m the only tourist in sight, something that starts to be normal lately…

Then we walk around the stalls and finally find 2 beautiful hair accessories for Miss Hoa, a tie and 2 tie clips for Mr. Lam’s daughter’s boyfriend and I go order some salad cutlery.

When we finish we start heading home when rain starts pouring, no raincoat on us just being faster than the rain! We make a stop at the toy store to buy a remote controlled car for Phuc and a Dragon for Thach Thao and then, finally, home.

The kids are so excited when they see their gifts that start playing right away. When the excitement passes and it’s safe to go to my computer, I turn Skype on and I talk with my parents for one hour, then I try to rest but it’s impossible as the kids’ excitement screams make it impossible. With nothing else to do, I prepare my nail stuff thing and practice until dinnertime.

At dinner I’m not able to eat much as I start to feel really sleepy and when I finish I literally fly to my room for a shower and bed (bare in mind that it’s 8 pm…). While I blow dry and straighten my hair I start watching Tom Cruise’s Jack Reacher and, I have to say it, the movie is pretty good, the story is nice I‘d just prefer other actor than Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher, maybe a Statham, a Ryan Gosling or even the m.i.a. Wentworth Miller.

The funny thing: there’s a plan in the movie where it’s proved that Tom’s short. Why? Cause there’s a detail shot of the boots he’s wearing and they are high healed! Hahahahahahaha

I’m feeling ok even if sleepy so when the movie ends, I turn everything off and just sleep…
