The bass is playing and I know it’s time. Rancid start singing and I
get up stop the alarm clock and head to the shower. When I’m ready I head
downstairs and start helping Xuan with the kids’ things for school. Thach Thao
comes down and Phuc on Xuan’s back like a little monkey, they take their
medicine and it’s time to head to school. There’s no crying, there are only
smiles, I guess it’s because it’s Friday. =)
After leaving them at school, Xuan and me go for breakfast at Lady
Bulldog and when we finish and heading home there’s a structure being
constructed at a hairdresser next to our house, basically someone died in that
house and that means “party” for the next days. We hop on the motorbike and go
to Highlands coffee shop where the waiter already knows what we like and brings
us our cà phê sữa đá with a little bit of condensed milk aside. I know this can sound
weird but I really like when I go for coffee with Xuan because we always end up
talking about interesting things and today wasn’t exception. When we look at
the watch it’s already 12.30 pm so we leave, we go to the furniture shop to get
an invoice and head home for lunch.
After lunch, I help once more Xuan with a couple of invoices and then
it’s time for a little shopping. When heading to the center it’s starts raining
so much that Xuan needs to dress the raincoat poncho and I put the back of the
poncho on my head and so I’m without seeing anything while Xuan’s driving.
There’s rain everywhere and when she leave’s me at the door of Vincom Centre
I’m wet as a duck in the water.
At Vincom Centre we go to change a dress Xuan has bought and then we
go for window-shopping. I see a nice tank top at Mango and I buy it, Xuan buys
a couple of stuff for Thach Thao’s b-day, we drink the best chai latte in town
and just walk around without caring about the time. When we finish our
window-shopping spree it’s time to head home and have dinner.
We have boiled codfish with potatoes and watermelon for dessert and
then Xuan surprises me by saying she wants to go for a walk. So after dinner we
go towards Phò Lé’s street and we enter in almost every shop to have a look and
try stuff. I make peace with the fact that I’ll never find something that fits
me here unless it’s in the shops we also have in Europe so I just accompany
Xuan with a smile. =) I like this street because it’s full of color, full of
people, full of lights, full of movement and everything seems beautiful but
today we realize it’s not exactly like that. While entering the shops we
understand that everything you see from outside it doesn’t correspond to
anything nice inside and the quality of the clothes is also doubtful so we
finish our shopping spree with Xuan buying a pair of sandals and me having 30
people stopped in a red looking at me like if I was an alien. Xuan and me just
laugh the all time and I’m sad I couldn’t take a picture to that moment because
I felt like a pop star with so many people looking at me… hehehehe
We continue our walk home and it’s 10.30 pm when I close my bedroom
door. I go for my shower and watch the last episode of MTV’s Real World
Portland and then, sleeeeeeeeeppppppp!
Night night peeps!
P.S. – yesterday got the new Hadouken!’s album “Every Weekend”…
AMAZEBALLSSSSSSSS! they have all their UK shows sold out, this must mean something, right? =)
