Day 107

Friday and not even after a good night sleep the alarm clock stops ringing at 6.30 in the morning. Today’s Thach Thao and Phuc’s leaving party and I’m anxious to see how the kids are going to react to the gifts. I get up, take my shower and when I’m getting my hair ready, Phuc shows up knocking on my door looking very handsome with a nice red bow on his neck, then Thach Thao also shows up with a beautiful white and dark blue dress and a flower crown on her head. Both of them look amazing! We all go downstairs, grab the backpacks and head for school.

At school everyone compliments both of them and tell them how dapper they look. We leave them there with the promise to come back when the party starts. We head back home to park the motorbike and head to Lady Bulldog just to find out she’s closed so we buy bread and eggs and hummmmm, fried eggs with bread and 2 glasses of milk are fabulous!

At 8.30 am we head to school with all the bags of presents and paper party hats for everyone. While Xuan goes to Thach Thao’s classroom I head upstairs to Phuc’s one.

Nothing prepared me for what I saw: lots of singing, Phuc very happy, the kids even happier with the gifts and finally many many kisses on Phuc. =)

When the party is over at Phuc’s I go down and pass by Thach Thao’s classroom for a kiss and she’s also very happy.

After the party, we head home to leave the cameras and then go to An Dong market to see if it was there I bought some satin that I need to buy more. After lots of looking and a run in with a lady that triplicates the prices for long noses, we decide to leave and head to Ben Thanh market where I actually bought the fabrics. We find the stall and I buy what I need while Xuan buys some more fabrics to aunt Margarida and then we go home.

It’s already lunchtime and we have dry noodles with tofu waiting for us and pork ribs for me too. We’re thinking on going to the massage after lunch but the fact that Xuan’s waiting for the guy of the containers and I took the Vietnamese bomb medicine makes us stay at home. I go to my bedroom where I try to rest as much as I can with construction at the house. Hammering and noise it’s not my cup of tea when sick and sleepy…

Around 4 pm we go pick up Thach Thao and Phuc to school and it’s very nice to see all the kids taking their gifts and you can see who’s in Thach Thao’s classroom and who’s in Phuc’s one. Both of them are very happy when we pick them up and I’m glad I could contribute for it! =)

When we arrive home Xuan’s younger brother is there so she stays a bit talking to him and then we go to the tailor in front of the house to give the fabrics I bought plus try to fix my black dress. I really hope it gets fixed… we finish all the talk and head back home, the kids went for shower and play in Xuan’s room, Xuan grabs a ball of dry noodles wit tofu and stays in the kitchen eating with her brother and I go to the office to finish some downloads and uploads.

Around 6 pm I go for a deserved shower and I do everything I wanted to do since this morning: wash my hair, exfoliate my face and body, scrub myself until the last drop of sweat leave my body. When I finish I dress my p-jays and blow dry my hair and then go for dinner. I eat some dry noodles with tofu and soup and then head to my room for straighten my hair and watch a couple of TV shows. I decided that after yesterday’s late day and no normal rest today I should stay at home so I can wake up fresh tomorrow.

Around 10.30 I go to sleep but not before eating some Oreo with milk… first time I tried and it’s really good! =)
