Day 98

When I wake up I look at the weather report and it doesn’t look like it’s going to be a nice day but even though I have to get up, take a shower and get ready to take Thach Thao and Phuc to school. Then it’s time for breakfast at Lady Bulldog as usual. After breakfast I go to my room and read the Portuguese news until Xuan calls me and we go to Parkson centre and Vincom centre.

At Parkson centre we walk around and look for shoes for Xuan but everything she wants they don’t have so finally we head to Vincom centre hoping something nice will pop in front of our eyes. Once more we walk around and Xuan sees some nice shoes at Aldo but unfortunately they don’t have her number. When we’re getting ready to leave we realize a thunderstorm started and there’s no way we’re going out of the centre at the moment so we go to Tous Les Jours bakery and eat beef pastry and drink the best chai latte of all HCMC.

The rain still didn’t stop so we walk around again and when it slows down we run to Parkson centre where we parked the motorbike.

Xuan shows up from the garage and tells me the garage is flooded. We get ready to go on our way and look this thunderstorm in the eyes; we just didn’t know that the thunderstorm would win… in fact while heading towards the massage parlor, the water goes until our knees and with the other motorbikes passing by us they get even our asses wet.

Xuan lets me at the door of the massage parlor while goes park the motorbike. I’m dripping water on the floor and when Xuan enters the massage parlor she also drips water around her so we put our shoes outside and walk quickly to the dressing room. Then it’s time for 2 hours of relaxing… today I get lucky number 2 and Xuan lucky number 27 but I assure number 27 that I still like her very much and intend to take her with me to Portugal which brings joyful laughs to the massage room. When we finish it’s time to pick up Thach Thao and Phuc so we stop at the school and take the kids home.

Then there’s no time to rest as we have to go order the frames for the new photos and then we go to visit a home for Xuan’s monk brother with her younger brother. The house is in the outskirts of HCMC but seems like we’re in the countryside, this house is so deep inside that even the people look different. After looking at the house we head to the house owner in order to discuss the price. We stay there for more than 1 hour without agreeing with the price so at one point we decide to leave.

We say goodbye to Xuan’s younger brother while on the freeway and head home. There we eat dinner and while having dinner Miss Loan’s sister and her niece, Thuong Vy, come to visit us. We speak for a bit and I learn Thuong Vy wants to learn how to draw the nails so we agree that tomorrow morning will go to the market to buy what she needs to start. We also call to Miss Loan to ask if she’s free to go with us.

When they leave I’m feeling really tired so I head to my room, I take my nightly shower and get ready to jump into bed. I see a couple of TV shows and then, sleep…
